mikeyb
Whislt servicing the The TR6 recently, i noticed when taking the O/S/R whell off that the inside edge of the tyre had been intermittently rubbing on the inner arch box that the bump stop aligns with. There is a good centimetre of extra clearance, some place on the passenger side. The first thing I suspected was an odd wheel (Cobra supaslots). I checked the markings (both identical) and swapped left to right etc. but with no change. As far as i can tell, the trailing arm mouting brackets appear to be paired (3 notch inners and no notch outers). Did trailing arms differ over the years at all. Short of body misalignment (which doesn't appear to be the case as measurement at a couple of datum points seem to be equal), I'm now at a loss as to what may be the cause. ctc77965o
are the bushes ok? maybe the arm is floating about?
RobinTR6
Yes there are differing trailing arms, think the newer ones were reinforced and had some extra metal. Sure someone more knowledgeable will explain. Starter for ten is bushes, mounting bolts secure then springs as these affect camber etc.
