dpb
hi there I'm sure a read a post recently about fuel lines where someone suggested that some sort of rubber covered metal pipe was better as it kept the heat away (and thus the dreaded vaporisation ). However I can't find it again now, and searches are not finding it either. I'm going to replace the under-bonnet lines on my cars, as some have perished possibly due to the ethanol thing, and possibly just age. I'd like the rubber type (R9 spec I believe), but is there one that is a rubber-covered metal pipe? Cheers Dave ====
Guest
I wrapped mine in a sleeve made from heat resisting material. I think a UK based company with something like 'agri' in its nane sells these. Menno
dpb
Hi Menno. Yes I tried the heat reflecting stuff, but it seems that underneath that my lines have perished, so I thought I would try all rubber instead of metal. No so blingy but may be better insulation. Paul Down
I have just replaced the fuel lines on a TVR, much more complex than a TR and was advised to contact: http://www.bgcmotorsport.co.uk/ who specialise in fuel systems. A small company but most helful and keep a wide range of fuel hose from several manufacturers. No connection just a very satisfied customer
