keith w
I may be a bit late with this but I only recently got round to watching this gentle but quite good comedy a week or two back. The hero drives an immaculate TR7 Hardtop which according to the Daily Wail, the series designer bought rather than hired in case a second series was commissioned. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2770295/Have-I-struck-TV-gold-The-Office-s-gormless-Gareth-hopes-new-sitcom-convert-fans-secret-hobby-metal-detecting.html
clymout
I might take a look on BBC iplayer, if anything just to see the 7. I do like programs from the norm, I remember seeing the Office when it came out & told all my friends to watch it's crimworthiness! Couldn't make out initially if it was a documentary or send up...well we all knew very quickly eh!
V8 Lady
Mackenzie Crook (Gareth) produced it brilliantly - wonder if he will bring the TR7 to the International ! Perhaps he has a Facebook page and we could ask him ?
TR5tar
Being a (albeit lapsed for several years) detectorist myself, I watched this when it was first shown. It was great to see one of the two main characters driving a TR7, even if he was a bit of a stereotypical geek. Funny how some people seem to view classic car owners (and detectorists) in this way. I pointed this out to the wife, who nodded with a knowing smile. Darren
