Fireman049 Posted August 8, 2014 Report Share Posted August 8, 2014 The best way to cut steel braided petrol hose is to bind the area you want to cut with insulating tape then use a fine bladed junior hacksaw to cut in the middle of the insulating tape. This will help prevent the braiding fraying too much. Leave the insulating tape in place and cover with the rubber end caps. Tom. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Geko Posted August 8, 2014 Report Share Posted August 8, 2014 If you have a tip ensure you cut both the hose and the braided steel at the right length to allow the hose cum braided steel to bend nicely without stretching/shrinking too much, I'm listening.
