had17462 Posted January 9, 2016 Report Share Posted January 9, 2016 Alan I'm fitting electric power steering using the mgf column,the electrics needs to read a pulse from the speedo drive,on my last one I extended the drive by adding a bolt ,see picture ,but would you do one for me by tapping the end so it can be fixed properly I will try to get a better picture of the complete thing. One problem is that the gear on a Smiths one is as hard as glass and I can't tap them. I could run the 3mm square key-steel right through and out of the end-plate.
