jake_a Posted April 27, 2014 Report Share Posted April 27, 2014 Is it at all possible to shorten wheel studs so that they are and optimal length for both for both steel and wire wheels to avoid having to change the studs if you want to change from wired to steel and vice versa? peejay4A Posted April 27, 2014 Report Share Posted April 27, 2014 Personally I would not compromise and I'd be surprised if you could safely do what you ask. If you want both steel and wires then you need standard studs and use spacers with the knock on adaptors. Or you could fit knock on adaptors, shorten the studs to match and use alloy wheels with knock on hubs when you don't want the wires. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
