Don Elliott Posted April 7, 2005 Report Share Posted April 7, 2005 A TR3A owner friend here in Montreal had a new worm to put onto the existing shaft and the repair shop convinced him the only way to get the old one off was to turn it off in a lathe. That's the way they did it and charged him the equivalent of £150. for turning it off. Check what they will charge you before you agree to this method.
