Revolution
Hi Everyone, Just replaced the bushes on the trailing arms and all bolted back together again but I've noticed that having bolted the axle shafts back to the flange on the Diff, the axle shafts just spin round even if I put the car in gear I have also tried selecting reverse gear but still the axle shafts rotate I don't want to start the engine up as I' m waiting for replacement brake cylinders to arrive and the wheels are off Am I being daft here or has something nasty happened? Any suggestions welcome please Nick
Paul Harvey
did you disconnect the propshaft?
Guest ntc
Its a diff no load no drive, bet you can not spin both at the same time in the same direction Edited March 1, 2014 by ntc
Lebro
If in gear, when you turn one axle the other will turn backwards - it's just the diff working as it should. Bob.
Revolution
Thanks for your replies guys....guess i was just my "knickers in a twist" ...just had it in my mind that if I selected a gear, there would have been some resistance felt through the Diff, load or no load I'm sure when i get everything back together all will be well Cheers, Nick
