Alanretired
Recently in heavy rain I found that water was coming into the foot well through the accelerator cable hole in the engine compartment. I ran a hose on the window screen and found water filled the cup where the bonnet rubbers attach. Half of the water flowed off the cup at the side and ran between the inner and outer wing panel. The other half flowed forward and dropped onto the flat surface where the accelerator cable passes into the foot well. My question is do original bodies allow water to flow forward into the engine compartment or should this gap be filled with sealant. Regards Alan
