Ade-TR4
Hi All, I've recently fitted (and then removed!) an oil cooler. The radiator and hoses etc are no problem, but the take-off from the filter will not stop leaking (heavily). It's the type that fits between the filter head and the canister (standard cartridge filter, not spin on). Are there any filter heads available that replace the original and have the cooler take-off built in so that there aren't 2 surfaces to try and seal? Help appreciated as I'm becoming soley responsible for the recent oil shortage. (OPEC are interested in refining my driveway tarmac though!) Ta Ade
jhowe3
Ade, About 12 months ago I modified my set up using Mocal Equipment. It is a thermostat sandwich plate that screws into the original filter plate. It will then take a spin on filter. I have had no problems with it. Mocal are based in Isleworth, Twickenham London. Sorry, dont have the phone number to hand. Jim Howe
