badshead
Bob I've recently fitted an Exide EB712 which fits well and, rated at 71Ah, does the job. You can get it for less than £60 at Europarts if you use the 'BATTERY15' discount code at checkout. On their website http://www.eurocarparts.com/ search for a battery for a 2004 1.9 Vauxhall Vectra. JANA
Monty, Thanks, took Bill's advice and got the Exide from Euro Parts. Three year guarantee, see OK from all aspects ...£59 inc. delivery. Cheers Bob.
Badfrog
Bob, Any 56 Ah or above will do. I use a 60 Ah. A good brand (Varta, Tudor, ...) is 180 € over here. I would worry about a £59 piece. Be aware of battery size, especially height. 18 cm is standard but modern batteries are often 20 cm high (you go figure imperial): J bolts may comme too short with the new higher ones. Happened to me last week. A 21.5 cm J bolt will accomodate any battery (2 quids on Ebay). Badfrog
JANA
No worries on quality, EXIDE , and the J bolts fit fine, might have been changed before I got my paws on it? Cheers Bob.
