swanage1996
Hello, recently got hold of a TR8 efi, currently given it a complete run-over. Anybody having any experience with a Steering pump overhaul (the thing is leaking all over). To start with :how to remove the pulley (without the proper BL tools) With engine running their is some slight swing on the pulley (might be the bearing?) Is it possible to turn in your defected pump for a exchange anywhere? All information is most welcome, greetings from Flanders Belgium. Luc M.
Odd
Is it possible to turn in your defective pump for an exchange anywhere? All information is most welcome Salut Luc,you don't turn your pump core in - you 'rebuild' it - by using a pump core from Woody @ the Wedgeshop. They are very common and still available over there, and all you have to do is to fit all the external parts (like the fluid tank) from your original pump onto it. Simple... Say Hi from Odd when you call him, he's a really nice bloke. (Owner/Operator/Creator of the famous "BAD8".)

alan atkinson
Isn't it just a basic GM Saginaw pump. Available off the shelf in pretty much any auto spares shop in the US or from somewhere like Summitt racing? IIRC you have to adjust the pressure - use the shims in yours to do so.
