Fireman049
In 1957 we took delivery of a Triumph TR3 with the new disc brakes. Due to my signwriting skills I was asked to paint a large plaque with "DISC BRAKES" on it. One front wheel was removed so that customers could inspect the new brakes. Eventually the car was sold to a Mrs. Williams, a lady from Anglesey. I made up the number plates for it DEY 991, an Anglesey registration. The car was a basic model with disc wheels, no heater or overdrive. It was finished in Black with red trim and Fawn hood and sidescreens. Shortly after when the car came back for its first 500 mile service I had to fit one of those bloody awful Desmo 'Boomerang' wing mirrors! Does it still exist?
