Can anyone recommend a talented specialist in Kent? Dont want to drive it too far..sounds great but runs like Pinky & Perky.. lee
bat10man
Lee, Why do you think it is the PI system hat is at fault. did you make any other changes other than those that you have already mentioned ? Andy
Guest harry dent
Hi Lee, Make sure the metering unit is timed in phase as you can get it 180 degrees out.Check the fuel line pressure between the prv and metering unit-105 to 110.Check timing but I expect you have allready done that.Ring me if you want to talk it through.01442 396379 evenings. Tony.C
Lee, A good contact can be found in the "Links" section of the Kent chapter site, being... Mike Bilney Terling House Angley Road Cranbrook TN17 2PQ Tel : 01268-404505 or 01580-712762 I had him do my injectors for me with superb result. No gurantees that he has all the answers but he's worth talking to. Best regards Tony. C
Andy Moltu
Sounds like the throttles need balancing
lee
Chaps No other work carried out at the time..To me it instictively feels like the injection system. It has a massive flat spot, is sometimes difficult to start but seems to pull stronger and clears at higher revs.. The car was and still is running very rich if thats a clue.. My guy apparently balanced the throttles..pressure and metering unit timing was not a problem previously..I'm not terribly technical. Interestingly enough I have been given Mike Bilneys number by someone else..Perhaps I should call him.. thanks guys lee
