TRbeginner Posted February 28, 2011 Report Share Posted February 28, 2011 Hi All Im just about to have the following components bead blasted and powder coated - TR5 trailing arms, rear coil springs, brake drums and back plates. Can anyone tell me what the original colours were? The trailing arms are obviously aluminium, so do I leave these with the 'natural' look etc... RobinTR6 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Share Posted February 28, 2011 Guess none of it would have been powder coated..which does look different from ytjhe original 'chassis' etc black. I suspect that the springs were black, certainly backplates and drums were. Cant comment on the trailing arms, suspect nothing was done to these. You can get various finishes which look like the aluminum but are coated for protection, they do corrode horribly if not kept clean.
