2long
I want to find and record the rear axle number for my car (TS 1911 LO) with the early Lockheed unit, but even though I know where to look (top lip of the differential case) from the service instruction manual, I can find no stamped TS number. Does anyone with an early TR-2 have experience with unnumbered Lockheed rear axles? Or numbers stamped in odd locations? I looked everywhere. I can't imagine anyone took off the rear end of my car and removed the stamped number. All the other numbers (commission, engine, gearbox, etc) are there, but not that one. Mike Graham
Hi Dan Your question prompted me to have a look at mine (56/TS11537). Not a TR2 but early TR3 with same axle I think. Diff is marked where expected as TS12000 (see picture). Cheers, Mike Edited February 19, 2011 by Mike Graham
