jmr
Hi. My first post. I've had my 1966 TR4A IRS for a few months now and reading this forum has helped me out countless times in sorting out wee niggles. The car is now running well and I've put more mileage on it since I bought it than it had done in the previous 20 years. I'm now down to sorting out minor bugs and I would like opinions on a couple of brackets that are situated inside the boot. One of the photos below shows where they are. Before I grind them off or bash them flat can anyone say whether they are meant to be there? A friend has suggested that they could be for securing the Surrey Top frame (the car was supplied new with a hard top) and I have taken a photo showing the frame in the boot. It looks possible that that is what they are for. Any suggestions would be welcome.
stuart
Interesting. The left hand one was fitted to PI cars from TR5 on to secure the extended boot board though why it should have a pair I dont know. Stuart.
