adriantr4
Hello Can someone confirm that rotating the distributor body clockwise (after slackening the distributor clamp via the pinch-bolt) will advance the ignition? The revs rise a little if I do this. I've been setting up the complete igition and carburation systems from first principles after some involved bug fixing, and the engine is now responding exactly as in the book. I think I've cracked it, its running really well.

Rhodri
I can't remember what way the rotor rotates on the TR4 , but to advance any distributor rotate the body the opposite way to the rotor rotation. Rod
Smokey
Also remember to set the initial timing on the OPENING face of the cam, and not the closing face. Ask me how I know.
