odd alloy wheel sizes...

Recommended Posts

I've been offered some very nice alloys by a mate, they are the right pcd for a TR7, 95.25 mm, but the front are 30mm offset the rear 18mm offset in order to balance out the different widths of rims, but the wheel sizes are:

FRONT 5.5JX 15 IN

REAR 7JX16 IN

The rears I'm guessing would fit due to the small offset under normal TR7 arches, without the need for rally style extensions, but how would the different diameters work on the TR7? I know some current small sports cars use larger wheels on the rear, especially rear wheel drive cars. It looks ok in theory, can anyone say it wouldn't work? ???
