TR4A Door Glass Channels

New member and my first post.

 

Need to replace the door channels on my 4A o/s door. I have a pair of new TR5 door channels (Moss parts 812437/850431)

 

The question is : will they fit OK?.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes they are the same.

The reason I ask is that when I fitted them, I had 1/2" of front to rear movment on the door glass.

(The original TR4A channels had no movement in the glass)

 

Can they be shimmed to take up this movement?.

They were very often shimmed originally.

Have put in shims, door glass is now a good fit with no lateral movement.
