PILKIE
Been going to do something about the scabby rad shroud for a while! While clearing out the spares room, came across an old US soft top, with knackered windows that was on the car when I bought it. AHA Methinks! Cover the shroud in vinyl! Nowt to loose! The shroud was an ally affair painted gloss black by the po!! I took it off cleaned it gave it a quick rub down, cut the biggest bit out of the soft top I could and spray glued it on!! Et voila! I think it looks pretty close to the original effect of the cardboard jobbies, and easy to clean!
RobinTR6
Nice one Pilkie and saves buying another. Presumably your consious of the heat with the glue or however you fixed it. BTW where did you get the vinyl, always worth knowing where to get stuff o
PILKIE
As I stated in main post!! I used an old TR6 USA soft top that I cut up,so its 100% genuine, with authentic period grain heavy duty exterior vinyl! Also used high strength, heat resisantt spray glue. But in that area,it is almost always going to be cool anyway!
