Merlin
I've recently filled the cooling system from dry on my TR7 V8 and the heater heat output is pitiful. Might this be due to an airlock or is it a dash-out-new-heater-core job? I didn't make any particular efforts with regard to filling the heater as such, but did fill the system mostly from an aperture in the inlet manifold. All advice gratefully received. Thanks, Merlin. TR8IAN
Hi Merlin, The V8 cars are always at risk of airlocking when filling. One of the easiest methods to use is to put the front of the car on ramps and do the fill up that way - opviously with the heater on full. The other thing to check is - have you got the heater pipes the correct way round - ie flow and return. Hope that helps Cheers Ian
