chilly
Hi all, I'm new on here. I've had three 6's in the past but now I've seen the light and am wedged-up! My car, an '82, needs some new tyres and I was wondering if there are any benefits in fitting 175's over 185's? My main thinking is that it might lighten the steering a bit at low speeds. Any thoughts either way? I'm not planning on driving the car too hard so outright grip isn't really a big issue. If I go 175 route are there any make/model of 175's that are particularly light steering. I'm sure there will be lots more questions to come. thanks in anticipation Chris
stevie-a
Rather than go skinny tyres I would put Ford Sierra roller bearings on the strut tops makes a big difference and is not a lot of money to do I run with 15" 195 tyres and my wife drives the car with no complaint about the steering (and it saves the car looking funny on skinny tyres)
