badshead
One of the set screws described in the Workshop Manual as a 'camshaft bearing locating screw' is the source of an oil leak. There are 3 screws, 2 immediately forward of the fuel pump mounting and one between the mounting and the flywheel casing - it's the latter that's leaking. Is it simply ok to remove the screw in order to fit a washer or use some pte tape? I'm concerned that something might detach internally and prevent me from refitting the screw. MadMarx
you can do as you described. Fit a new copper washer. Nothing will happen to the bearing from removing the screw but don't run the engine without. Cheers Chris
