jbenajes Posted February 17, 2009 Report Share Posted February 17, 2009 Following my restoration plan, I have completely dismantled the non-OD gearbox in my TR3A, and have already identified some parts candidate for replacing. Before daring to put my hands on the gearbox, I had read all the related information I could gather and the comments on this forum on that subject. This all has lead to some questions: Should I replace the second gear brass bush by a steel one from a late TR6 (Moss part UKC956). The original bush seems to be still in good condition, but according to some comments, it is prone to breaking. Where can I obtain three reliable synchro rings? I have read about some from Germany.
