woodward
Hello Quick question - can someonw let me know where the engine ground strap should go on a TR4? Diddn't take a photo when I dismantled the car and no reference to refer to. Thanks Myles
Rhodri
It bolts to the suspension turret just an inch, or so, to the rear of the left hand engine mounting and goes straight across to a hole in the front engine plate, positioned near the outside edge of the timing chain cover. woodward
Thanks Rhodri. It all comes flooding back to me now... Still hopeful of meeting my target of getting the engine running next weekend... Myles
bob-menhennett
Myles Make sure you have actual "metal to metal" contact. With a restoration it often means scraping a bit of that beautifully painted engine and chassis but... it's got to be done A generous blob of copper-ease, to protect against corrosion, helps. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you next weekend....the expected snow will keep it in the garage this weekend !! Bob
