Upper inner wisbone bushes

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Due to a MOT failure I have to replace the upper inner wisbone bushes

for my TR4 -62 and would like ask if a spring compressor is needed for

the operation?

Thanks for any advice.

Best regards, Juha

No you dont need to compress the spring, if you jack up under the spring pan as far out towards the wheel as possible, put a stand under the chassis and then just take the weight of the suspension on the jack, remove the road wheel and then the top arms can be dismantled with only the need to support the hub to stop the upright moving outwards too far when you split the top outer swivel . Dont use rubber bushes on the upper inners as you will have to do it all again next year!

Stuart.
