ianc Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 To ensure that you gain the full benefit from this, make sure you use cables which are sized for the load. For example, if you have 60 watt filaments, that's 5 amps (at 12 volts), so use cable which is rated above that - say, 10 or 12 amps. That way, the voltage drop in the cable will be minimal. And remember that a good earth (chassis) return is part of the current path, so it is worth running separate earth cables to each lamp unit and tying them to the point where your battry earth is connected to the bodywork.
