Just be careful of the weight of the gearbox and note that whilst it came out quite easily it will be a real b*gger to get back in. Not a one man job. M. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I agree with Malcom, definately not a one man job putting it back in, but can be done. I must have done this on my own about 4 times, twice in a cramped lock up & it isnt easy. Put a trolley jack under gearbox to lower it & lift into position - you need to get it at roughly the c of g so that it balances - best bet is to have a helper!.....or, as i was thinking, build a small craddle to securely locate gearbox to trolley jack.
