Welcome back Peter - you have been a bit quiet for a while....

 

I would love to see your machine....it's almost legendary (pity I'm only a few thousand miles away....) - any chance of posting a pic or two...??

Hi Roger,

Been moving home, constructing a garage and fighting wind turbines, hence silence TR-wise. There is an article with photos on the Technicalities CD and a samizdat copy here:

Is the car still around - and still racing?

 

What got me fired up was Vintage Sports Car Club race meetings here. Blower mecca. Most notable for TR6-ers is a 1930s straight-six Riley 2500cc single-seater. It has a large Roots blower mounted in front of the radiator in line with the crank, fed by 2 SUs. Its runs on petrol and develops 260hp without revving its guts out. And it makes an awesome scream.
