Roger H
Welcome back Peter - you have been a bit quiet for a while.... I would love to see your machine....it's almost legendary (pity I'm only a few thousand miles away....) - any chance of posting a pic or two...?? That will get some of the lads fired up! Hi Roger, Been moving home, constructing a garage and fighting wind turbines, hence silence TR-wise. There is an article with photos on the Technicalities CD and a samizdat copy here: http://triumphs.50megs.com/blower1.htm Here's a real legendary blown TR, from your neck of the woods: http://home.vicnet.net.au/%7etsoavic/trdrvr.htm Is the car still around - and still racing? What got me fired up was Vintage Sports Car Club race meetings here. Blower mecca. Most notable for TR6-ers is a 1930s straight-six Riley 2500cc single-seater. It has a large Roots blower mounted in front of the radiator in line with the crank, fed by 2 SUs. Its runs on petrol and develops 260hp without revving its guts out. And it makes an awesome scream.
