  1. No problem Clem, so it's your first round at Stoneleigh then  !  We met up on the Register Stand,  where we were well greeted and some great Cars to talk about. Everyone that I spoke to on the Register Stand seemed very confident about the Future of the club gatherings , including the International  !  I do hope this is right and that we get back to normal after The Triumph 100 at Silverstone.

The Classic Car Show was buzzing and busy , on the Saturday. Great cars on Show , Trs for show and for sale. Even Gary Mcveighs concourse TR6 , in pride of place at the Hall Entrance.  All in all , well worth the Effort of going there.

Hi Conrad, so how did the first run go?

Andy, well done, it’s a credit to you.

    Dave McD

Done about 100 miles now,  keeping the engine loaded but no more than 3000 revs at the moment. A few little niggles , have sorted them out, just need to Bleed the brakes a bit more and sort a back end niggle,  but all good.

She sounds great and runs very well. You are right a credit to Clem. Might buy him a pint tomorrow at the Classic Car Show.

  3. Thankyou for the upbeat Comments everyone. Now to run her in properly , weather permitting, and the into the air chamber for winter. Patience is a virtue, and has been with this project.  I remain unbeaten and live to fight another day !!!

See you all at Stoneleigh in February.

    Conrad.

  4. I Bought this TR5 in 2014, it hasn't been on the Road since 1978, so now she is back  !

It's been the proverbial roller coaster,  but through thick and thin , due to various unsavoury happenings. But has been in a safe pair of hands for the last few years, and now is pristine and back to her former glory , as they say !

Hope to find a rain free day soon , to give her a decent run out.

Can't get the smile off my face, Heheheh. I do have other pics, but was dubious about showing the registration, maybe it doesn't matter on here.

    Conrad,

  5. Miles,  you have all of our sympathy so it seems,  and we all suffer with back pain etc, maybe Andy is right we haven't evolved enough yet  !

Good to meet you at Beaulieu by the way

I spent 6 weeks in may/June sat on the settee , if i stood or lay down I was in chronic pain, so mainly stayed on the settee, they are long nights, when you can't go to bed  !!

By luck, Pills and an Osteopath I got through it and am now back training harder than I was before whatever happened.

I can't give it up , makes me feel so much better , and gives me more flexibility for working on the Tr etc.

I even feel like playing Rugby again, but maybe common sense will prevail there  !!

    Have fun,   Conrad.

I'd intended to go to Stoneleigh, but went to a scale modelling show at Hinckley instead. I didn't know that Stoneleigh was a restoration show, the email I had from the organisers just called it an autojumble.

Newark autojumble is on the 23rd - anyone going?

    Pete

Hi Pete , I intend to go to Newark,  I haven't been for a while. But only to walk round and see what i can find,  usually coffee and cake  !!

I’ve not had payment back for last year, have sent emails but no reply. Don’t think I’ll be in attending.

    Mike redrose group.

Hi Mike , I have received an email from the Organisers,  having asked them about this.

Quote, All monies paid for Telford are valid for Stoneleigh,  including tickets bought.

Hopefully this will encourage a good turn out.

    Cheers, Conrad.

  8. It's back at Stoneleigh,  which is perfect , middle of the country. Hotel on site, walking distance.

It's usually easy to get in and out of. Even for traders.

I was invited to stand at the National Restoration Show which Ian speaks of. I was already committed at the Bicester Scramble.  Thank God!   But I never made it to Bicester, spent 3 hours at Leicester Forest East Services with a puncture !!

    Conrad.
