I met a chap last week that has just sold his tr5 to a lincolnshire farmer for £45,000.....its true what they say then "you never meet a poor farmer " !

Hi mike, why dont you contact the chromers and see if they are ok with the bulb holders in,i have seen it done both ways.
I reckon they are a bugger to remove, and dont know where to get replacements either.
I see you are in s.yorks, who are you using.if you dont mind me asking.

Hi bob, check out rimmers website, its easier to see....i reckon the tie rod is for non steering lock and the anti torque strap for vehicles with steering lock.so the same thing but different !...i presume yours hasnt got a steering lock !
Check out rimmers see what you think.

I am pleased that you said that stuart, because that is what i am doing.....And yes nick the underside is body colour, signal red...i have done 3/4 of it when it was on one side,i have now flipped it over onto the otherside...,layed carefully on comfy settee cushions.
Good luck with the gaps etc.

Hi rob,so it looks like you will be on the road in your beloved TR5 this spring.....you will just love it !
I got up early this morning, brushed snow and ice off the car and went to my lock up........kick started the gas heater blower,so i could continue stonechipping and re-spraying the underside of mine.
Local kids and dads were already building a massive sowman,we must all be mad !!
All the best.
Conrad.

Similar story,...i bought a boot seal from them the other day,i asked if it would actually fit, they checked and had no returns,so presumeably it would fit.......Yes it fitted round the boot beautifully, but not a cats in hell chance of closing the boot fully....so i started pairing it with a stanley knife,it is now down to nothing and raggedy as hell, and the boot will still not shut and therefore lock.....
I am looking forward to their faces as i hand it back to them !
Cheers,
Conrad.
