I have a 1960 post 60,000 3A. Regarding the Lift-a-Dot door fasteners. Are these secured to the door skin with nuts or do they just screw into the skin?
The Moss catalogue does not show any internal fixing screws.

+1 for the above good advice. I would certainly repair mine rather than buy an inferior replacement.

Orange flame on the Colortune usually means too rich a mixture or the engine is burning oil.

Hi Glen ~
I'd strongly advise you to try and take a member of the Register with you who knows about TR's. Please don't go in 'blind'.
I'd have reservations about the plated chassis in particular.
Another mystery ~ if it's an American TR how come it's right hand drive??

Hi Ralph ~
I'd personally go for the BRG (HAA) in the centre of the panel.

Hi RogerH ~
Leave Tom out of it!!
I well remember in the late 50's an Austin Healey '100' had collided with a stone wall and one side of the front aluminium shroud had buckled badly.
Our resident 'Tin Basher' was able to straighten it out with his hammer and dolly to a perfect finish. That man was a true artisan.
