Yesterday taking a trip out to Ringmore Journey End. I stopped to see if I could be of assistance to a couple in a white TR6.
They had brake problems but didn’t require any assistance and awaiting recovery.
I am not aware if they were members but should they read this, I hope all is now good. -

please stop this silliness or I will ask for the thread to e removed.
Sorry Roger, while I can’t answer for everyone commenting on this thread. To say It wasn’t my aim to be silly. Having read the posts here, including Sue’s and Ian’s I offered an opinion.
Being that my wife is about to have a hip operation on Wednesday, I am drawn to the topic.Redarde Derek H

People currently residing in UK can choose how to created their income, who they work for and where they use their skills. Doctors can work for the NHS and undertake work privately as well.
Those people living and working in the UK that choose to go private, are also mandated within a certain income range to pay National insurance, although it’s not earmarked and goes into the overall big tax pot. It’s the taxes that enables our country to run a national health system that’s free at the point it’s Citizens need it.
While some say it’s wrong and allows the wealthy and perhaps the not so wealthy to jump the queues, it might also be said it releases money that would have been spent by the NHS to be spent elsewhere and takes individuals off the NHS waiting list that would otherwise be added to it.
We have a two tiered system, private hospitals have limited resources and do not have access to what is clearly provided in the vast NHS system, if we have a two tier system and people use it and unexpected complications set in, why shouldn’t they full back on the system that they have already contributed too?

Dartmoor, popped into two bridges post office office purchased local Pasty, and Salcombe rum and raisin ice cream. Then off to Bellever woods where we sat in shade and enjoyed them, oh and a quick paddle in the stream with the dog, I hadn’t planned paddling myself but slipped off the stepping stone. Mind you it cooled the foot and soon dried.

I fear that the Stelvio is hardly "undiscovered"!
Unlike Romania Transfăgărășan aka DN7C, I guess. I do agree with you driving the D roads in France are a pleasurable experience although I guess there not undiscovered to anyone who has driven in France.

Stelvio pass is the obvious one, another for me the Road to Ronda, Spain with the prize at the top.

The tyre choice for my TR6 recommended by an independent tyre provider, Goodrich G-grip 195 65 R15 tyres, I found they offered good grip, working well in the wet and dry, they proved a comfortable drive. The noise rating is not the highest but nothing I have found intrusive. Apparently they will stand up to standing around for long periods, no signs of cracking. I replaced the two rear tyres after 15,000 miles with 2 G/grip all seasons tyre at a reasonably price, they work for me.

Thank you, I have found this topic interesting, I have had silicone Dot 5 in my TR7 since 2000 followed brake fade on the Stelvio pass. I have changed pads and shoes but not my fluid. In view of the comments here I will be replacing the fluid.
