Why the different bonnet badges ?

A little while after purchasing the car, I noted there were some rust spots coming through, so I replaced panels. I preferred the badge, which I believe is on the later model, than the Laurel transfer. So having resprayed the car, I changed.

  2. I guess it’s unlikely to be of interest to others, but you don’t often see Pageant Blue TR7 cars, especially here, so I thought I’d Post the photos anyway who knows someone might like to see them.

Mine the one at the bottom

Can't see this in the AGM minutes, what's the situation? and why don't us members know?

    John.

It’s in the TRaction John direct from Wayne (from The Press Officer) perhaps they felt that was the best place to announce it to all membership. Agree though as it was mentioned at that AGM it should have be noted in the minutes.

    Full itinerary here

    Friday

The much-loved evening entertainment in our beer tent will return with live music both during the day and into the small hours.

Friday will give visitors the opportunity to set up their tents if camping and to catch up with old friends over a drink in our entertainment tent. There will be plenty of catering, food options, beer and toilets on site – very important! The event will have different attractions running on Saturday and Sunday.

    Saturday

On – site, the first day of the event on Saturday will be a festival of grass roots motorsport! We have a huge treat for you with a never-seen-before feature.

The MCC (The Motor Cycle Club) will be running a sporting trial on the showground’s off-road course. You may have read about the exciting exploits of our trialling community within the pages of TR Action over the years, on events like the Exeter and Lands’ End Trials. Well, now is your chance to see the Trials TRs in action at the TR Register’s weekend event. Not only that, but a whole host of other models of vintage, classic and trials special cars will be taking part – plus motorcycles as well of course. After the competitive element to the day has concluded, spectators will be offered passenger rides to experience the sport of endurance trialling first-hand!

Meanwhile, the extensive trade show and Autojumble will be open for business across both days as will the Bring and Buy sale. There will be crafts and food for sale as well.

Technical seminars and demonstrations promise to engage the audience whilst a Carkhana takes place in the arena to add to the motorsport appeal.

Saturday will see an optional visit to the nearby Haynes Motor Museum who have laid on guided tours for us with an option to stay and take part in Go-Karting! For those who like their TRs polished, then you can watch the judging and deliberations of the Concours team during Saturday followed by the presentation of the awards on Sunday morning. Saturday evening offers the chance to party the night away with the live music and beer tent, whilst you reminisce about TR adventures passed with friends old and new.

    Sunday

On Sunday, our traditional format returns with the live arena hosted by Wayne Scott telling the story of the many special TRs we are looking forward to having on – site.

Plus, some very special guests to be interviewed throughout the day to mark seven decades of TRs. The TR Register has negotiated the ability for attendees to visit the adjacent flea market (at additional cost) that is also taking place on the Sunday. There will be lots more features announced over the coming weeks!

Well Mike If that’s the case we are in for a really good weekend, I hopefully will be there as intended and I am looking forward to it.

  6. Yes Iain and Hamish in answer to your questions Wayne and the MT confirmed Wayne has given notice as editors and The TR Register is looking for someone suitable to take over editor of TRaction. Here’s hoping when his contract comes to an end in September he will continue with his other duties, of course that’s my personal opinion.

  7. I have a green bin and fill it regularly with grass cutting and light trimmings but once a year the large cut backs and tree topping I throw in the van and transported to recycling. On rare occasion plant that’s been infected by some parasite is burnt in a tin bin with wholes and a lid with a funnel and only during the early evening in the week, not to effect neighbours not due to environment issues.

Takes me back seeing pictures of my old stomping grounds Derek. I hope that you're having a lekker time down south and look forward to a full report on your return.

I'll have to go back for a visit next year now.:D

    Tot siens Bru.

Bloody amazing what a fabulous place, from Zimbabwe Victoria falls , Botswana Chobe national park, CapeTown, East London and Richards Bay Safari’s. Unfortunately I received a little present from  the ship, I believe, that has left me a little dehydrated and with severe cramp last night. Because of my poor immunity I’m now having investigations in the new AMU at Torbay.  Still would not have missed it for the world. Brill

I have spent the last three days with a wire rake out in the garden. The trees there  are old and high and the autumn leaves were thick on the ground. I have spent the last three days raking up the debris and wheeling the full wheel barrow round the back of the garage  to add to the leaf store.

I know that feeling, like Alan the lawn mower clears the lawns, the blower the paths, then straight into the green bin once that’s full the tonne bags and off to the recycle centre. Unfortunately it seems to go on for week’s with the trees releasing leaves at different times. Must make a leaf store maybe next year .
