Met up with th coast 2 coast 4 group at the fisherman’s cot Nr Tiverton for breakfast , then joined them on the organised Thursday drive/run. Nice to see some familiar old faces and some not so familiar old faces. Thanks for the invite Paul H who put the trip together, enjoyed myself, thanks also to Malcolm T and wife Rosemary it was good to spend some time together.
Photo at Combe Martin, Paul looked a little surprised, I’ve added photo having noticed but forgetting to mention the plaques, coming to Devon and including the wrong way to put cream and jam on a scone.

Lovely Day, so my daughter and son-in-law gave me a day off from working on their property. So decided to travel over the water, Cotehele, a National Trust property and of course I had to take a TR.

Turned out to be a great event with members from Cotswold Vale, Glavon, Kennet Valley and Chiltern groups, all brought together by John Walker for a great cause. The route was spectacular (apart from caravans, horses, and hard core cyclists but only to be expected in this neck of the woods). The meeting venue at Hartstop Farm was equally good, and the food and hospitality were excellent. All for a great cause.

Popped locally to a open Garden day at Lustleigh, a private home with a stream woodland and formal gardens, photos don’t do it justice but I’ve post them to give a flavour. TR in a field, so no photo hence posted here.

This afternoon Drove over Dartmoor to Tavistock, then onto Roadford Lake, met up with friends before returning via Moretonhampstead the Union Inn for food and home.

We included a prison on our drive it Day Princetown Dartmoor. Really interesting, didn’t realise how far back the prison went. You might say some really unpleasant individuals were placed there, obviously, I’ve had much need of operating table but not sure Id fancy the one in the Photo.

Had great day 7am early start 2 hours reducing a 1000cm floor kitchen unit to 700cm for Son in Law to plumb in sink. Then a run out over the moors. Stop for cream tea, the right way.

Family day out, drive along to South Pool South Hams drinks and a burger at the Milbrook Inn then Beedands for scollops.

It looked like a great show, and congratulations to Ian on his trophy for 4VC. I find many Triumph and TR event require 500+ miles round trip journey for a me, while nowhere to far in a TR, my body sometimes tells me otherwise. Hopefully we will see many members at Bath and West show ground TR@70.

That and a walk with the wife and our dog along the river, purchased an ice cream before returning to the crabshell. No smell just warm sun blue skys, great scenery and a pleasant drive home.

- Scimitar, I had one of these loved it travelled Europe in the 70’s right down to South France then up coast into Italy then up to Hamburg then returning Via Netherland Belgium back to France and home, great car.
Never seen the other one before.

Today we went to Broadsands beach in the TR where we met up with some members from a Brixham car club. US cars are popular it seams.

Holcombe house private owned estate, where gardens were open to support Exeter Hospice charity. Sitting in 20 acres of gardens and woodland Both gardens and buildings beautifully maintained.

Run out to Coleton Fishacre near Kingswear. National Trust, dog friendly. Amazing selection of plants and trees from all over the world, fabulous views. Well worth a visit.

Day out in Cornwall with the wife
before meeting up with both the Devon & Cornish TR Register members at a Cornish group meeting. Enjoyable driving, pleasant scenery, great weather, and pint and meal at The Blisland Inn, Blisland pretty little village. Thanks Pete for the invite.
