Indeed, RIP.
I recall seeing him at a Malvern IWE a few years ago.

Our copy arrived today in deepest West Sussex. As Ianc says local delivery offices seem short of staff and the pattern of delivery we receive also suggests they only deliver when a bundle has built up. I imagine it saves visiting every address every day.

Happy Birthday Roger - hope you are having a good, if cold, day.

A bit late but - Hope you're having a great day, despite local weather conditions.

The boot channel and gutter are the same as, or at least similar to, mine. I know it isn't correct but it's how the restorer recreated the rear end with repro panels for me - I suspect the early double channel arrangement would need to be fabricated by hand. It's not an issue for me - but I'm not claiming absolute originality.

We always had our Summer holiday in Paignton when I was a child and I remember that red soil. My Grandparents lived there, hence the reason for the Summer visits, their bungalow was on Primley Park - one of the steepest streets/hills around.

It was pretty wild, wet and windy last night just along the coast from you here in West Sussex Richard.
It's all calmed down a bit although the back half of the storm got the breeze up this afternoon and brought more rain.
The River Arun is running very high and the flood plain/water meadows between Amberley/Bury and Pulborough are filling up. I can't get to the river bank without wading through water at the moment
There's more heavy rain due over the weekend so it will only get worse/better depending on your view and whether you're a duck. I did see one of the White Tailed Eagles flying over the water meadows between Bury and Amberley this morning.

A very late Birthday wish from us - apologies for being tardy, I'll blame it on having been away for the last few days on a very pleasant trip to the Isle of Wight in the midget with the local MG Club .

Just the Saturday for me this year...

Thanks again Roger
I will pass the comments and observations on to the owner.

Thanks for the comments Roger, Rob.
The car owner confirmed it was the original camshaft exhibiting little obvious wear when the engine was rebuilt 4 years ago by a specialist in Poole. All a mystery at the moment - the engine builder has the car and will be stripping the head/engine to check everything - if it were me I would want to find something that clearly was the root cause before rebuilding. Comments on the Stag Forum indicate this to be a very very unusual failure, if not unheard of. As a Stag owner I hope it's not an indication that original components are getting to an age where this type of failure might become more common?

Someone I know from rally's in France has suffered a catastrophic failure of one of the OH camshafts on his Stag. Just wondered what those with far more knowledge than me think the cause of this might have been

Happy Birthday Mick

Picked up our daughter and fiancé three weeks ago off their flight from Melbourne into Heathrow t4 and took them back a couple of days ago. Fairly straightforward (apart from the traffic on the M25 and roadworks on the A3) - £9.50 in the short term car park for our ~45 minutes each time. Our main car is ULEZ exempt I think, but another £25 for the two trips would be a pain if it wasn't.

Yes the US version series 1 is on i-player, or at least it was a while ago where we watched it so I would imagine series 2 will be. There were a few Americanism and little digs at GB that irked a little but all in all a pretty good attempt. I'll have to look at series 2..... too.

Yes, after 3 and 1/4 hrs on the gate welcoming and directing I had a very dry throat too - took one look at the one tea and coffee queue and went to make one back at the tent. There was a specialist coffee vendor advertised on the programme/brochure - I assume they just didn't show up either.

Probably a weather related decision too on the ice cream sellers part - Saturday was not really an ice cream sort of day

On the Stag sliding yoke (front) end of the propshaft there is a greasing point that is blanked/plugged off with a machine screw/bolt. This is removed and a nipple fitted for the greasing operation - don't know if yours would be similar?
