I bought some cushions for my MGB at Moss, they are very soft sponge, having looked on the MGB forum, I was advised that the Moss ones were in fact very soft and not like the originals, and was advised to speak to Mirrortrim, https://mirrortrim.co.uk/ may be worth talking to them about the quality of foams.

I cut a hole in my tunnel some time back, I got a measurement from the H frame from the Forum but don't remember now what it was, I used the rubber bung that goes in the tunnel at the front of the hand brake lever, Moss p/n 605602, to lubricate the prop shaft.

Do you have a cast iron exhaust manifold?, have you had the lower exhaust pipe off from this manifold, It is possible to get the gasket fitted incorrectly and so blocking the exhaust flow, such a silly item that can be fitted right and wrong!

Do you have the oil cooler fittings on your new housing?, if you have you need to connect them together with a pipe, do not cap/seal them off. or is it like the picture of Waldi with no oil cooler? The insides are different if you have or haven't an oil cooler.

From the pictures of the caliper pistons, there doesn't seem to be the cut outs in the piston facing the pads, I understood this helps with the wear rate on the pads, more pressure on the outside, so equaling the pad wear.

Once you have the lock, I think it would be possible to get a small role pin to fit the hole.

It would be worth a call to Don Hoods, and ask if they could help, http://www.donhoods.com/
OOPPSS didn't read your location, sorry, this one wont be of much use.

If you are still using the 0.70 MC, why not put the the slave pushrod into the bottom hole of the clutch cross shaft, that should give you more movement of the clutch inside?

Thank you for the info, as the liners haven't been out before, we are going to take out the engine out so we can clean everything.
Looking in the Moos site for the f08 seals there are 2 part numbers listed, 112789C which appear to be copper, what material are the ones without the C suffix? Are there any different thickness of the f08 gaskets?

Looking at the picture of the clutch cover, the spline on the clutch plate doesn't look very central, I think you should take the clutch plate out, and check for oil on the plate and when spun on the input shaft that it runs true, the plate may have been bent when last fitted. Check also the spigot bush size, compared to the input shaft.

Might be worth taking the MU to Neil Ferguson, he has said its possible there is a mark on the fuel ramp, that the roller has a job to pass over. This should show up on an AFR on the rolling road.
One other thought, how is the MU timed, like a CP or a CR? They are different.

I had a problem with my PRV, it was a later type for Bosch pumps, (perhaps the pressure is slightly different) the pressure would vary with the voltage output, I dismantled the valve and found a shreded o ring at the very bottom of the valve, I contacted KMI and they sent me a new o ring, assembled with the ring first in the bottom of the body and no problems since, pressure the same with different voltages.

Do you mean the item 43 in the picture here, https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-model/triumph/tr5-6/steering-suspension/steering/steering-column-wheels-tr5-6-1967-76.html

I did have one that sort of worked with my apple phone, but the wifi connection was not that consistant, so I have opted for one of these, its a P40 model.
Lens is 3.9 mm dia, and 2meter of cable, takes really good pictures and videos, you have to get used to the focal length of the lens doesnt have to be right up close to what you are looking at, but well pleased compared to the Iphone wifi version.

I have been asked by a friend to help him cure a cylinder head gasket blowing problem. gasket been changed before, so sure the protrusions are not correct.
I know the liners must be proud of the block, if using a fo8 gasket of a certain thickness, and one liner is lower than its mate, how is this corrected, must you try another liner to give an equal height for both, or is there a better way?
I have seen there are some useful previous postings on here, that I will search again.
Any additional info would be very useful, I have a feeling my friend will use some new pistons and liners. but not sure at this stage which size yet.
What is going to be the best type of head gasket to use and the torque of 105lbs ft in stages. Is the std one from Moss ok?

Would have been nice to know what the PO used as I expect it was oil tight too?

I have one of these units in my TR5 and has worked without any problems. Looking at yours I think the module has been rubbing on the magnetic track, there needs to be a business card width between the two.
The original PI's didn't have a vacuum capsule, so there is also something there that isn't right.
What ohms is your new coil?

The id rings should be on the front journal outside of the cam retaining plate, yours doesn't seem to have any markings. Chris Witor has a good chart, https://www.chriswitor.com/datasheets/camshaft_applications.pdf

Its interesting when you look at the above sets individually, the lube hole for the small conn rod end appears to be in a different place on both sets, is that important? I guess it should match with the conrod, or are there differences in those as well?
