Hi Marco,
if you want to visit a very excellent beach then I would recommend Holywell Bay
https://www.visitcornwall.com/things-to-do/beaches/holywell-bay-beach
Large car park on the access road. Short walk around impressive sand dunes. It has a pictuesque river/stream running from the moors into the see ( complete with TRout)
The beach has everything
At high tide the little river can also sport a 'bore' at least 6" tall. I have been there and done that.

Drive along the North coast from Newquay to LandsEnd - there is so much to see and do.

At this rate of shut down we will have nobody logging in soon.

When we need to recruit NEW members this sort of thing is very very helpful - not.

Richard, I'm sanity checking before purchase... you mean this one, right: https://www.halfords.com/motoring/batteries/car-batteries/yuasa-hsb334-silver-12v-car-battery-5-year-guarantee-174049.html
Hi Steve,
I run with the HB072 in both the 4 & 4A. They always work well.
However I've just seen the RRP £146 - wow. I do use the Halford TRade card that makes it more sensible.
The prices have rocketed lately.

Regarding the Aero Bar hubs. Back in the early 90's a Dunlop engineer ask me to x-ray an aircraft hub for him that didn't 'feel' right.
The radiograph was stunning - it really was like an Aero bar but then we are dealing with Aero space. Never seen one like it before or since.
If you know anybody that works in engineering for an airline then have a word - they may have access to an X-ray machine.
There are also 3rd party NDT companies that can do X-ray for a small price.

It’s been a bit too chilly to do much polishing this week, but popped into the garage for half an hour to try out a new pad. The results aren’t bad, but again, it was hard work.
I’ve therefore ordered some more aggressive cutting compound (Menzerna 400 for those who are paying attention and not snoozing) and hopefully this will give me a quicker result.
From a distance all looks tickety boo, however, this is just the first stage - cutting out the swirls, scratches etc. After all that’s done, I’ll use less aggressive compounds and pads to give the finishes result.
A lot of this is just time and you can see how body shops etc charge a lot, however, I have the time and enjoy learning as I go.
Building up my detailing collection nicely, so once the TR6 is finished (2027 at this rate), it’ll be on to the daily drivers.
I do not think there are quicker results - a;ways hard graft.

It comes over as if MLS is the scum of the earth. and will not be stopped.
Take him to whatever court will sort him out.

Hi Gavin,
can you drill a hole in the top surface only near the bolt head and then plug weld it to the bottom layer

Happy Birthday Andrew
I trust you have had a great day.

Hi Gavin,
will the bolt come out? Ifr so then remove it and then re-tap the thread in the nut.
Good luck

The 4A needs its little air bleed into the tank (Via the filler cap) clear at all times.
It itr happens again - stop the car and quickly lift the filler cap and note if there was a sucking slurp as if air had rushed in.

Hi Waldi,
my guess is that the Alu thread will distort and seal better.

Hi Richard,
it just helps with flexibility. Possibly a few pennies less to make without W2

The original coating appeared to peel off as if it was applied as a sheet. Unsupported Vinyl may do that as it is thin but!!! is it textured

The TR4A Horn relay has that lay out C1, C2, W1.
The OD has C1, C2, W1, W2

As you only did it for fun - you have produced something that even the non-funny big boys struggle to attain.
They are absolutely cracking with every variation for choice
I wish I needed one.

Dave...have you thought about a support brace/braces from the top of the front diff mount down to the T shirt area.
...........indeed, the 4/4A had a horse shoe shaped extension in a bid to stiffen things. Do not know why it was removed for the 5/6

It will be interesting to see what effect they have.

Hi Dave,
this is quite an old post now and you haven't replied.
As RobH pointed out, the solenoid of these motors draw quite a current that may cause your starter btton/switch issues. It is best to run it through the original solenoid.
As for repairs most if not all Auto electricians can repair these motors. I've had two fair new motors repaired to a better standard than original for £100 a go,

Using the TR4-6 OD switch is so much easier - and cheaper

In West London torching a building after a recent purchase is the norm.
Can't get planning permission - no problem - just burn it down and start anew.

The rubber hose needs to have a good snug fit on the copper. The use a correct sized Jubilee type clip to clamp
