Yep, and we can GUARANTEE that ALL those 80,000 immigrants back in the 1930s came into Britain because they suffered Religious and racial persecution.

Care to put any numbers for Religious and racial persecution on the previous 6 million immigrant numbers that are now acknowledged as being the hidden immigrant numbers prior to these last 2 years. Maybe you could have a shot at C and R persecution numbers on the 26,000 of asylum seekers who braved the channel this year without bothering to apply for asylum ?

    Eligibility

To stay in the UK as a refugee you must be unable to live safely in any part of your own country because you fear persecution there.

If you’re stateless, your own country is the country you usually live in.

This persecution must be because of:

    your race

    your religion

    your nationality

    your political opinion

anything else that puts you at risk because of the social, cultural, religious or political situation in your country, for example, your gender, gender identity or sexual orientation

You must have failed to get protection from authorities in your own country.

When your claim might not be considered

Your claim might not be considered if you:

    are from an EU country

travelled to the UK through a ‘safe third country’

have a connection to a safe third country where you could claim asylum

Generally, a safe third country is one that:

    you’re not a citizen of

you would not be harmed in

would not send you on to another country where you would be harmed

This is what bugs most Britons, if we have an asylum application system such as the above why won't the asylum seekers just apply. ? Although we know they would not receive it because travelling from a third neutral country alone would disqualify them, never mind the other 2 circumstances that they don't comply with either.

If his battery was totally empty, how would he know that he had run out of charge?

I agree with Stuart, he was not paying attention to the instruments telling him his levels were low.No doubt the warnings were also helping to drain the battery as well. He probably decided he had enough power to get to where he wanted to go based on manufacturers claims before he set off.

  3. Anyone remember RevRods I think they were called? Dragster car with a plastic toothed strip with a handle you placed behind the large back wheels. give the handle a good yank and let her go straight across the kitchen floor and smashed into the Lego building my twin was making:lol: I laughed he cried. He was never really into cars, I did like Lego though but +1 for Meccano.

  4. Here’s a photo from a couple of years ago. Guess which one is the repro, this was after 1 year only in the British sunshine.

20150104_230240.jpgAs Conrad said you will know the difference when you see them next to each other.

Hi Ralph,  if you have one of each in each hand , you can feel the weight difference,  the Font is Different also.

Although a decent enough copy, the finish is different.  And stories of the enamel melting off in hot sunshine !

So if you dont want originality and quality, then the Repro ones are adequate. And cheaper !

    Just my take on them.

And Yes , Badgecraft did take a while but the quality is great, and yes not cheap either, but you gets what you pay for  !!

    Cheers, Conrad.

Conrad is absolutely right, I bought one from Moss and the enamel!!! Bent and twisted off like it was plastic. Don’t waste your money is my advice.

    Fraid not.

There's a constant radius racing line achieving the maximum grip and highest overall speed throughout the corner which is normally fastest... until the car behind you enters on a fast in (faster than a constant radius line) and slow out line, and having an entry speed advantage overtakes you and blocks you all down the next straight.

Which then means the first cars choice into the next bend is a constant radius and risk the second car doing fast in slow out on him, or if he's sneaky the first car slows before the corner entrance and blocks your entrance to the corner and delivers... the reverse a slow in fast out racing line himself. Which gets him away from the second running car. Hopefully then, the second running car, has dropped back enough to ignore the front running car and then adopts a constant speed radius to maximise exit speed from the corner allowing the second cars speed advantage to build and allow an out braking manoeuvre upon entry to the next corner...and so it continues.

At any stage you can see drivers adopting all 3 different lines depending upon their track position and tactic in the corner, and as Neil says not unusual on sufficient width tracks on the same corner together.

Hi Mick , I agree with what you say regarding having to adopt different lines depending on track position, however I stand by my comment that the racing line for drivers is the fastest line around/through any corner. That’s how they achieve grid positions.
