I work on the theory thaty most of the time even I am not interested in what I am doing let alone inflict that on others!

:D:D Me too Andy me Too. The problem you have to watch out for with our nearest and dearest posting on these sites is if they are showing photo's of themselves and friends at a party or restaurant (showing what they are eating, uhh) sometimes the credit card they are using is visible on the table! and every bit of info a scammer can get they will. Especially if its someones birthday which they again have now a date and age. It just goes on and on.

I was taught the same on both my original car test and my HGV, my Dad who passed his IAM test also did the same. Its all about being aware of whats around you not only what you can see but what you can anticipate as well (looking for reflections of oncoming cars round slight bends in shop windows or reflected in parked cars at night.)

    Stuart.

    Me too exactly including HGV.

  3. We were taught in the Police that you should only indicate when there is someone else that needs to know your intended direction change (you should already know where your going) . This is to make sure (as Stuart says being aware) you are always paying attention to what is around you. too many people throw on an indicator and start to move before they have looked to see whats around. many accidents i attended with a driver saying but I had my indicator on like that gave them some over riding right of passage. Always be aware and indicate when it is necessary.

I want to see how George Russell performs next to Lewis - team player or serious competitor?

I agree, when he drove Lewis's car he looked seriouse, but when the pit crew  messed up (to put it politely) he didn't complain much. Time will tell no doubt.

Not withstanding the decison on lapped cars passing, there is a lot of emotive argument here.      The race isn't over until the fat lady sings, or the chequered drops, but everyone seems to have expected Hamilton's Victory Parade.  Instead, they go on racing to the end.

When the Williams crashed, and the Pace Car was deployed,  Red Bull brought Verstappen in for fresh tyres.    Mercedes gambled on Hamiltons undoubted ability to  make old worn tyres, but his were Hard and  thirty laps old.   His talent was no match for the sheer grip in fresh, Soft tyres.    No robbery, no Trumpian steal, but good tactical decision vs. bad one.    No wonder Toto Wolff lost his cool!

  6. VIVA MAX as they say in Mexico. He did nothing wrong, his game plan worked out(but looked like it wouldn’t) Lewis’s did not.

I personally think this track is dangerous, but then I do not think Monaco is up to F1 any longer either.

Sorrry but have to disagree! It’s only dangerous if you don’t drive to the conditions and shape/speed of the track. Having massive run offs is just inviting drivers  especially the ones in the faster cars to just put their foot down, that’s not being a great driver it’s just having a fast engine. If we go by this then why not have a completely round track like Indy car racing,How exiting will that be!!!. We could also have a completely straight track with a bend at each end. Sorry but it’s not about just speed to be a world champion ask Lewis or any of the others.

Maybe the refugees could be trained as truck drivers

And who will pay for that? There are plenty of people here who would like to be paid to train as truck drivers. The fact is you have to pay for training yourself for a heavy goods licence, And it is not cheap. Maybe in La belle France it is different and the government pays. I somehow doubt it.
