Well done. Many more have been following this thread than just those who have contributed. You should be proud of not only your perseverance but the knowledge that has been passed on.

Hi Phil, Remember what Donovan sang about in 1967. That would clinch it for me.

Hi David, Try Pamela David Enamels. Got my TR5 bonnet badge from them and its excellent. Had to wait a little and its not cheap but well worth it. Don't fall for the ones on sale from usual suspects for around the £40-50 pound mark!! they are awful. Say high to Tracie from us.

No one I think is objecting to paying a reasonable amount, but being obviously ripped off (IMHO) to use the same halls and parking that others do for considerably less money is objectionable.

If people held back from going for a year or two then the prices may adjust themselves.
Car parking at other events at the NEC are very much cheaper (re - Caravan Expo etc)
The organisers know that we stupid car owners expect to be ripped off and they go for it wholesale.

This comes around every year it seems. I have said previously the Caravan show was not only a lot cheaper(half the price I think) but parking was free!!. I have not gone for 2 years now as I don't like feeling I am being ripped off. Miss the show but I am at enough is enough. Just my 2p worth.

Have you checked that battery connections are clean and tight, also earth strap to engine/body is secure.

also get your ears checked out - dizzyness etc.

A sound suggestion (if you will excuse the pun) As others intimate, your ears can cause the symptoms you experience. Motion sickness is brought on by inner ear issues, you don't have to be in a car to cause it. Bending up and down too quick or indeed lying flat on the floor while moving head into position to see what your doing under a car can cause it also. Wife had a bout of vertigo while just sitting in a chair, caused sickness and dizziness . All down to a slight ear infection.

Exactly the same on my TR5. Put a belt guide on the headrest of both passenger and drivers seat, don't think it helped much with the retraction but makes finding the belt to put on much easier without contorting my body too much.

Hi Paul. message sent to you.

I think your wife may have 2 issues. (1) the car being old she thinks it is no longer safe? in todays environment (2) they are low down and with the number of 4 wheel drive type cars and the size of lorries that will come alongside she is worried about the overall size. You could let her see an MX5 as a modern car which is of equal size, this may ease her worry. Failing that as above comments, try a different TR/Stag.

Is the RC001 only a summer tyre or will it cope in the wet?. I don't use the car in winter but our summers seem to resemble winter at times.

Gravity aids the fuel coming out of the tank and into the pump, so the lower the pump the better. Mine as above is fitted in the wheel arch area and with the added air flow around it means so far I have not had any over heating issues. This also free's up a little more space in the boot for all those little bits and pieces we need on a long journey "just in case". I tend to ensure the tank (via fuel gauge) does not go below about a quarter full before filling up. This again aids fuel being pushed to the pump with the added weight of fuel and also negates any issues that a might be present and unknown with the fuel level sensor.

Do a search for Stuarts block of wood overnight pressure on brake pedal. This might be worth a try as well.

Bob was a good friend of mine and I miss him. We went on several holidys together with a few other friends abroad and in this country. Always had a good time and if anyone had a problem he was always there to lend his extensive knowledge. Red rose group will miss him dearly, as I am sure his many friends at the TRR will also.
RIP old friend.
