Hi Keith, I am pretty certain you cannot remove it downwards underneath the car. There is someone on here who designed and built/welded a crane for easier removal. a search topic on here might help you.

Hi Roger, as you can see from the comments, many have tried before you to do this including me. I found (without already having the tunnel access as described above) that patience and a knowledge of swear words helped i managed to do it from underneath the car but took a while, with small turns on the nut very wearing and time consuming. Patience is the key.
Good luck

You should only signal when there is someone else to see it who will benefit from knowing your intended change of direction. this shows you are aware of your surroundings and other road users. If you just throw it on as a matter of course this leads to drivers just turning without paying due care and attention. Thats why the offence is called driving without due care and attention. Bob is quite right in what he says, some drivers think they have the right of way just because they have thrown the signal on and are faster onto the roundabout or whatever than someone else. They are wrong. As regards to the person signalling very late and braking sharply as Roger mentioned, we have all met these I am sure, and had a near miss me included. The fact is the rules say you should be travelling at a distance behind the vehicle in front to be able to stop should they suddenly stop for whatever reason (even a dumb one) and the fault will seen by insurance (and Police)as the person behind travelling to close or fast to stop. This is not a rant just the way it is.

She was a cool lady who was good in everything she did, even as a bloke in Theatre of blood. Sad only a few Mrs Bradley mysteries were made.
will be missed.

If its there you can use it, if its not you can't. Get overdrive and when you are out cruising at any decent speed you will appreciate it.

Looks very nice Murray. I wouldn't mind playing a round with them (Golf that is) whatever did you think I meant-Tut Tut.

Hi Dan, managed to see quite a lot of the build until it demanded I create an account to log in. Certainly looks very interesting and look forward to your article when done.

The build is on Instagram if you follow this link www.instagram.com/theroadwarrior_22/
One downside, its easy to hear clunks in the rear end :-)
The clunk could be the plug on the extension lead coming out!.
Only joking Dan. Do you need an instagram account to log on to see the build , or can anyone log on. I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to these things.

Your kidding, really. Photo of engine would be nice to see.

Exhaust mounts maybe?

The wind seems to be coming from behind !. Wind tunnel testing for a racing reverse gear perhaps.

Hello Nylen
I agree with Jerry and Doyley's comments. I turn mine on and leave it 20 secs or so and the choke half out, start it up with a bit of right foot and it kicks into life on 5 cylinders and the 6 th joins in.

And for all the owners in the UK please take note of the following, I try not to spend my life peeing on others “ parade” but a working life spent doing so is difficult to break.

Excellent post Mick. Makes a better clarification than anything else I have seen.

Hi folks. IMHO if you fit a wind deflector and drive around with the windows UP!, you have nothing more than a Sun Roof ,not a convertible. I agree the wind deflectors do work and if her indoors has her way eventually, I will fit one. The windows will remain down though.
JMHO flack jackets not required.

Could you not fit an ignition switch from a 4A/5/early 6 which have accessory position?
Might be a problem(will be a problem) with your insurance leaving a key in the car while unattended for any length of time?. I am assuming the key has to be present in the ignition for the accessory position.

Get a big beach towel to fold and place over the folded top before you put the cover on. It will protect the window and help fill out the cover so it looks neater.
Stan
Had friend who used a thin piece of foam to cover the top and a cover made to allow for it. You are right Stan it made it look very neat. I will get around to it myself someday.
