You should also consider that the sound proofing material will also cause the engine heat to be held in more. Heat dispersal is always an issue with these cars. Just a thought.

Where you have put them on the doors is the same as mine on my 5, give or take a mm. They work fine there. the other positions shown in this thread look - well awful.

Hi Marco, Having the h frame is exactly the reason for a 2 piece cover. As Roger said its much easier working on the handbrake end of the tunnel.

Hi Harry,
that looks like a nice tap.
Do you recall the inside diameter of the ball valve and ID of the smallest pipe fitting?
Can you provide a link please?
Many thanks,
Waldi
Hi Waldi, just for info I got my tap from Revingtons. I don't recall price or diameters I am afraid.

Thanks all for the responses.
I think I’ll look to replace the tank outlet and see if I can come up with an arrangement not dissimilar Harry’s above (thanks Kenrow). Please, can anyone advise me as to what the specification of the original outlet (part no. 151204) is.
Many thanks
Many of us including myself have the pump and filter located under the nearside wheel arch. this not only helps with keeping the pump cool, but creates plenty of space for a fuel tap under the tank as well as other small spares we all carry.

Yeah, fess up what did you do.

Others probably know better than I but my first thought was would an additional washer help tightening down the bolt?.

If you put out peanuts as well as fat you will attract woodpeckers and many other species, although peanuts are not cheap these days

Looks like Triumph code56 Royal Blue.

Mine has it too. I am sure it helps with not grounding.

X2 with Stuart and you don't stick to fabric in the summer like you can on leather.

Happy birthday Roger. Have a great day.

Roger, do you put any sort of wax/polish on the car before its storage. I have always wondered if there is any benefit or not to waxing it up for storage.
