  1. Ive just picked up a K Reg UK 150 BHP TR6 Project.

It needs a lot of work, in fact body off nut and bolt restoration car.

The engine has been totally rebuilt and is out of the car on an engine stand, it has an overdrive gearbox, hardtop all gauges, throttle bodies etc.....

The front wings and doors are off the car, however they will all repair (the doors are really good) - it looks very sorry for itself.......

I have the history file, V5C and it has some new bits included.....

Will be advertised on the normal sites shortly but thought if anyone wants a full blown project on here let me know.....

    £7950

  2. I would suggest you do a HPI check on the car if you are seriously interested - It is apparently an insurance write off and the seller is well aware.

I was asked to look into it by a potential buyer also..... I don't know whether it was withdrawn from sale as a result of this or not!

    Mark

  3. I'm looking for a set of early TR6 / TR250 / TR5 Gauges....

Speedo, Rev Counter and the 4 smaller gauges required.

Will consider single gauges also either good or for restoration don't mind...

Please PM me with what you have and how much you want.....

    Cheers Mark

  6. Here is a pair of very rare Weber 45 DCOE 9 Carbs. Made in Italy, not the cheap Spanish or Portuguese ones. Serial numbers 4557 and 3359 so likely 1970's complete with period SAH inlet manifolds (also rare) and linkages for 4 cylinder TR's. Ideal for fast road or competition use. Inspected and valued at £600 for the Carbs, £250 for the inlet manifolds and £100 for the linkages etc. Sensible offers considered. Look on Ebay, there is a single DCOE459 for £1350!! Grab a bargain

  7. Thanks Ian,

I actually had a set of Hankooks and Matador tyres on my track car (Clio 182 cup) and they were both superb. If anything the Matadors were probably slightly better but both had great grip in the wet and dry.....I think Matadors are made by continental anyhow....just rebranded

  8. Ive got a really good set of 4 TR4A Steel Wheels, hubcaps, tyres and nuts. The tyres are Hankook 185 x 80 x 15 and have about 7mm tread (hardly used) £150 collection only from Brandon, Suffolk IP27 0NZ

TR4 Original Workshop Manual (Blue Bible) £30.00 plus postage

TR4 Workshop Manual Second Edition £20.00 Plus Postage (looks new)

TR4 / 4A Steering Wheel & Horn Push in excellent condition (no cracks around spokes) £100 plus postage

  9. Just a heads up on this......nothing to do with me but it is being auctioned this weekend at ACA.

I wont be working due to a family funeral however I collected this (carefully) and took it to King's Lynn.

It's been parked up since 1983 and owned since 1967 (owner now deceased and passed onto his daughter.....)

Its very solid but will need restoration.....it moved with a very light tug of the winch..!!

  10. Graham, I'm really not sure of your motive on this car, it looks like, with your previous comments, you're trying to put everyone off so you can buy it....??? I've inspected this car today several times for several different people...it could be recommissioned fairly easily and used as is, or my preference would be to take it totally apart and get it rebuilt properly from scratch....it doesn't need any panels, the chassis looks really good, the inner tub looks great, it's body colour under the carpets, it's got the original engine, chassis plate, body number, steering wheel, seats, surrey Top, old MOT's going back to 1977, original handbook, only 2 owners from 1968...and it runs! My gut feeling is it'll end up at £35k to a private bidder who can do some of the work themselves...but like I said what do I know ????

  11. More "armchair" warriors Smiffy ????

It has got a 4A grille fitted (back in the 80's apparently) TR6 CR Throttle bodies and shock horror a "Bosch" pump, oh dear not original either! However it is an original matching numbers 2 owner UK RHD car that is remarkably solid....could actually be re-commissioned or totally restored....oh it does run with good oil pressure as well...but what do I Know ????
