Hi all
any one got any advice or pics on where the weather seals/door weather strips should end/start on the door openings on my 72, as there are only bits left and obviously need renewing especially on the windscreen a post where the roof comes down
many thanks nige

Can I jump in with a question,as I read the replies to our friends questions, having just refitted my master cylinder only one compartment seems to be filling up,do I just add more fluid until it enters the second compartment!

Sorry, pressed the wrong button (see what I mean about idiot)what I was about to finish with was that all plugs and leads cap, points and condenser are new and the car seemed to be running ok last year but covered approximately fifty miles when testing other components fitted
as all ways any comments gratefully received

Hi all and a happy new year to all
I removed all six plugs on my 72 and all six were black, the car had been driven a bit prior to winter strip down for painting but not a lot.My question is how difficult is it to do a basic tune if this should be needed and bearing in mind I come somewhere between zero and zero on the idiot amateur scale but I am willing to learn.I should mention

Hi all
i noticed one of the gaiters or boots has split on my cp,and I can’t seem to find the procedures for renewing them in my brown manual !!,also I don’t think any of the rubber bushes have been done for years and they look a bit cruddy .I was wondering if any more knowledgeable chaps than I could give me a few pointers as to which ones should be considered for renewal on the front end please.
as usual any advice or info will be great fully received
And a merry Christmas to all out there regards nige

Hi Andy
yes that thought did cross my mind, what make me feel daft is I was the one who disconnected them but it was a while back at the start of the restoration,as the passenger side all matched up to the wiring diagram I just assumed the drivers side was the same but in my defence the colours were obscured by years of muck on the side in question.I am thinking of switching the side lights on and seeing which cable is live as all the other lights are connected
thanks mate

Hi all
am refitting front side lights on my 72 cp and can’t seem to find a red cable on the loom that would correspond with the red cable coming from the back of the drivers side light? The opposite side is colour true and as far as I know the wiring is original, any ideas out there please

Hi all
I have just purchased both inner and outer weather strips for both sides of the car and apart from trying to get them in to shape (the inners are straight) I am scratching my head and thinking fitting them to the doors can’t be as easy as it seems,I have also bought the fitting tool as suggested by Rimmers and all new clips. So I thought I would consult the font of knowledge that is our forum and ask if anyone out there could give me some hints on making this task at least doable , any thoughts most welcome
many thanks nige

Great info
