  1. I got my wing direct from Bastuck, email first then they phoned back no problems and was delivered in a week. Complete with a free return package if it was damaged or not suitable. I found them very helpful.

  2. Just been looking at my diary and I have got Antree down to go and spectate at,I have just been on there web page and it is still saying no spectators at there events. The Register event is not on there list so does it come under a different organisation and different rules ie can spectators go to a register event?

  3. Hi, I have the lower chrome trim on my 4a on the front lower wing. As you say not listed with the sellers of TR  bits and bobs. I have also just had a look at photos of other TR4 / TR4a and they don’t seem to have them fitted. Looking at mine they look like rears that have been cut down to size as the top part is rounded and the bottom is just cut at an angle to follow the front valence and lower wing.

  4. Lovely day out on Drive-it Day. Only a short run this year through the Cheshire lanes, starting at the Blakemere Centre and ending at Lewis Carroll’s birthplace where we had a Covid-19 safe pit stop and chat, then a nice steady drive home.

  5. We’re out tomorrow for a short run, hopefully no problems with the car pulling to the left or stoping just before the pub. But it will still end up at a pub for lunch as we’re booked in. Hope all that are out have a great day.

  6. Mine is not that loud, nice sound going through the gears with foot down but once up to 60  it is very pleasant not loud for touring so it doesn’t get on the wife’s nerves.

  7. The rear springs are ok on the rear of the TR apart from the surface rust, the only reason I was asking about them is the car we use as our around town car and is not that old has just had a advisory on is MOT for surface rust on the rear springs and I don’t won’t the advisory on the MOT for the TR, so I will remove springs and spray.

  8. Evening all, just been looking a the rear springs on my TR4a irs and they are showing signs of rust, I have the conversion kit on the rear and they have been on for 20+ years. Can I just clean them up and re spray them ( if so which paint ) or would you just change them.  Would you go for the standard or the silicon chrome 390lbs.

  9. Excellent news Pete, the cars looking good and as you say just take your time doing the jobs and try to enjoy doing them, it all takes time with an old car, especially one that has not done a lot of miles in a year, the more you use them I find the less you have to do, only to keep putting fuel in and giving them a wash. Sounds like you had a great time 80 miles on no problems. Just  wait until we can get out properly for unlimited miles. I popped out for 60 miles yesterday. Now in the garage for a good under body clean, grease of all nipples and check all nut and bolts.

  10. Hope you have been for a run in your TR I have just got back from a local run. This may not be helpful but this is my set up, lots of blocks (not keen on axle stands but I have the four legged ones) I have different size wedged blocks to use as small ramps to get my trolley Jack under, my trolley Jack is 5” up to 24” it a little heavy. I got this set up as I had a small trolley Jack which the car slipped off. If you have a look at there web site SGS that have some great stuff.
