  1. Hi folks it’s been a while since I have added another of dads period films to youtube. I have made this 1964 period film in a YouTube format. Originally 16mm film on this Bolex clockwork camera.

lots of car you will recognise, many to be found at Goodwood or million ££ auctions.

brush painting an original ERA -!!!!   And some faces and names some of you may recognise.

    i hope you enjoy a nostalgic 1/2 hour. :D

Well done Paul, but I do think we should cut the new editor of TRaction some slack. It will make a great read in the next issue I’m sure.

    Iain

    Whole heartedly agree.

It may even be the case that it has taken the wind out of his sales to have it released/printed on the web before TRAction can use? it becomes a second hand story ?

A word of warning - I used the link above and entered my reg number…message came back stating not suitable for my car (TR4a)

Halfords checker doesn’t  even recognise my TR3a reg. so don’t rely on it!

but my point is don’t scrimp on cheap essentials that can save you repair bills of £’000’s

Always writing to my MP about various issues that affect all of us! Do you know what? Very little response!

Monty that’s so sweet- I love the fact that you think it makes a difference.
I’ve had local authority jobs where someone has written to their mp about council functions - I’d be surprised if the mp even sees the letter in or ‘my reply’ in return.

normally it’s done by the mp’s office support.

i guess if it’s a massive local issue with lots of constituents writing and in the press it may prompt a question to the minister ?

  5. The blue will be fine. I run about 50/50 and fill a  top up 2ltr pop bottle with the same mix.

just don’t spill and antifreeze or the mix as despite the bitrex stuff that should be in it pets and wildlife may still drink it and get very ill or die. So don’t put the old stuff down the drain either.

I am currently cleaning up my garage and am looking for a solution to neatly store the windscreen.
I have thought about hanging it either on the wall or under the ceiling. But I'm not yet sure what the solution would look like in detail.

Additional challenge: I'd like to leave the side wind deflectors fitted.

How do you store your windscreen? Maybe you can post some photos for inspiration. ;)

  7. Well isn’t this a wonderful forum membership.

today I have picked up the parts that MJF Martin offered.
    wings and apron.

he was generous enough to not want payment to himself so we agreed on a donation to a charity close to my heart

thanks Martin I’m sure I’ll have hours of fun bracing and fitting these panels this winter.

I thought I would post a photo of my TR4 having successfully completed our first Rally of the Tests, about 600 miles from North Lincolnshire to County Durham with plenty  of off road tests and regularities. Makes a nice counterpoint to all the clean and shiny cars elsewhere in this topic!
