A very useful thread on a question I was about to ask myself - off to get a 2nd trolley jack as well now and I agree with the need for a low profile one based on recent experience trying to get a 5" min. height one under the front chassis. I see SGS have a 2te one discounted down to £33, plus they sell rubber jacking pad inserts, which seem a good idea.

I have also upgraded my stop/tail lights with LEDs from AutoBulbDirect to similar benefit. Indicators are next on the list - where did you get the relay Prefect?
Also, has anyone managed to convert all their instrument lights to LED - I have done my speedo OK, but the LEDs (from Moss) seem to sit too far out of the holder when used for the revcounter and hit the back of the dial - any hints?
Thanks

I agree with Grumpy2 - look at, and drive, plenty before you buy - you will be amazed at the differences. I bought mine in September after looking on & off for 4 months. If you go the dealer route I can thoroughly recommend Clive Manvers - well worth a trip and excellent after-sales service.

Thank you all for your replies - I hadn't realised that the CR car used a switch on the dash as well as the stalk switch (and I have overdrive, so that stalk is in use!), so I will probably live with the floor switch for the moment, as enough other little projects to keep me going over the winter...

Hi
Does anyone know if I can replace the headlamp switch stalk (with pull to flash function) on a CP car directly with the switch stalk from a CR car, removing the need to have the main beam foot switch, or is life not that simple?
I have Halogen lights with relays, so current through the switch is not an issue.
Many Thanks
Steve
